Bear Lake

Yummy casserole

Lovely clouds that turn.....

into a beautiful sunset.

More Wildflowers.

These butterflies were all over the place!

Lake view.

I think it is a Heron.

Our Cabin.

We went up to the lake for the weekend.  There was a big family party on Saturday night.  Tons of delicious food!  I did not take enough photographs.  Although it was a bit cloudy with some bouts of light rain, it was still a wonderful weekend!

I love Day Lilys

My fruit and vegetable baskets!

This lady had the most beautiful Day Lilys!

And some Holly Hocks!

Not sure the name of these flowers.

More Day Lilys.

The Haul.
Another Saturday, another Bountiful Basket! Every other week is plenty for the two of us.  I don't care for melon (except watermelon) so Sweetie cuts up the melons and takes it in his lunch.  This is the first time that I  have ever had kale.  I talked to Helga and her advice was to stem, wash it and then put it in the freezer for a bit.  Kale does well after a frost, and to imitate a frost, putting it in the freezer works.  So I did that.  She recommended to saute it in olive oil with a bit of onion and garlic. I will try that and maybe add a bit of bacon, because bacon makes everything better!

Bear Lake

The New Fishing Hole.

Another view of Fishing Hole.

My Dad and my Sweetie fishing.

View of the lake from my favorite lounging spot.

Yummy steak, corn and baked potato dinner with the family!

We went up to Bear Lake for the weekend.  Lovely weather!  It was the first time that I had been up this year.  My sister and her kids were there as was my Dad.  We had a great family dinner! My niece brought some really good corn!  Good times.

The seeds have finally sprouted!

Finally!  A pumpkin seed sprouted!

If you look closely in the middle right hand side, you can see a zucchini seed sprouting!

Tomato flower

I was getting so worried.  We had the pits all filled with dirt and turkey poop, tomato, pepper and eggplant starts planted and a whole slew of seeds.  I have a few of the cucumber seeds sprout and nothing else.  No zucchini, pumpkins, beans, basil, radish, dill or cilantro!  I replanted some squash and beans.  I then realized that the seeds were not being watered thoroughly enough.  So guess what?  3 beans came up, 3 squash, one more cuke and a whole bunch of pumpkins!
