Only two rows left!
I have been working on my Fall Mystery Shaw.  I only have 2 more rows left and then the bind off!

It is huge!
Rather than using lace weight and #4 needles I decided to use some vintage yarn from my late mother's stash and #8 needles.  It is most definitely acrylic. It was wound into quite a few balls of different sizes.  I like the idea of working with yarn that I know my Mother had touched.  I wanted this to be large, almost like an afghan to wrap up in when I am traveling in the 5th wheel this winter.

Close up
I have forgotten how stiff old acrylic is!  It doesn't slide easily on the needles and seems to take more oomph to knit with it.  And the try to keep the dog hair out is another challenge.  I will go over it with the lint roller after it is blocked.

Up next is back to my daughter's sweater.  I had set it aside because I got to the armhole shaping and it required too much thinking to do while visiting with friends.  Once it got set aside, it never got picked up again.  I will get this done for her birthday in December.

Sunset this week
We have some wonderful sunsets here.  I love to just step out on our back porch and take a quick photograph.

This is my WIP Wednesday and KCCO for this week.

I also wanted to tell you that I am still sorting through my craft books, magazines and patterns.  I have a lot listed already, more going up every week.  I have knitting, crochet, cross stitch, quilting and general craft stuff.  I am also clearing out some of my vintage books and magazines.  I am willing to give a quantity discount, please convo me and I can make you a reserved listing or get you a coupon code.  Thanks for looking!

  1. I think the shawl will be great for camping! Warm and cozy and very sturdy! Love your sunset photos. Good luck with the destash!

  2. Amazing projects. Love the yarn you pick for the firs shawl.
