WIp Wednesday

I am still working on my Winter mystery quilt, I am halfway through clue #4 of 5.  I love the way it is knitting up!  I have been reading a fun, silly book Leave it to Cleavage.  About a woman whose family owns a bra factory.

I have also been dyeing fabric!  What fun that is!

This is my WIP Weds, KCCO and Yarn Along post for the week.

Coffee with Friends

I love these beautiful coffee cups!

Karen showed off her new yak yarn

Debbie was working on a pair of mittens

Karen's log cabin block

Karen's bowl of handspun

Karen's new spinning wheel!
My winter mystery shawl
Poncho!
We had our coffee and knitting group at Karen's yesterday.  Fun!  Four of us were there.  I brought along a poncho that I started using some vintage sport weight acrylic a friend had given me.  It is knitting up quickly on #15 needles.  Karen finished her 16th out of 20 log cabin blocks.  Debbie was working on a pair of mittens using a bulky weight yarn.  Joy (I did not get a photograph of her project) was working on a wingspan shawl using her handspun yarn.  A fun morning of good friends and lively conversations!

Happy New Year!

I finally started my Winter Mystery Shawl!  We were traveling over the holidays and I concentrated my knitting on a hat and socks for Sweetie.  And dishcloths while driving.  I will post those on FO Friday.

I read several books on the trip, they were OK.  I just found "The Whole Enchilada" by Diane Mott Davidson at the library yesterday.  I love this series, so hopefully this book will be a good one.

I love the way the turquoise beads look with the purple yarn! And this is a new shape, 4 long skinny triangles with a stitch in between each section.  I just love these mysteries!

I love taking sunset photographs!  This is from the last day of our trip.  It was taken at Boulder Beach Campground at Lake Mead in Nevada. It was quite the show!

This is my WIP Wednesday, KCCO and Yarn Along post for this week. And my On the Needles post!
